The Selection
Small-batch roasted and sealed in matte-black artisanal pouches.
4 oz (113g) — Perfect for exploration.
Roaster’s Profile
Focused on developing complex sugars without masking the bean's rustic, wine-like acidity.
An inky, dense body that creates a long, cocoa-laden finish.
Because these ancient heirloom cultivars are grown at altitudes up to 2,500m, the beans possess varying densities. This leads to a naturally non-uniform roast color. This visual diversity is the fingerprint of original, non-hybridized coffee DNA.

The Heritage
Yemen Matari is not just coffee; it is history. Grown at altitudes exceeding 2,400 meters, these heirloom seeds are still cultivated using the same natural methods developed over a thousand years ago. The dry, rugged climate of the Bani Matar highlands concentrates the sugars within the cherry, resulting in the famous "Mocha" profile that defined the global coffee trade for centuries.
Our City+ Roast is carefully timed to push past the initial brightness, developing a heavy, inky body while ensuring the delicate notes of sun-dried fruit remain intact.

About Yemeni Matari-Gold series
Yemen Matari is the flagship of the Dalal Gold Series — the highest expression of Yemeni coffee heritage. Grown on high-altitude terraces in the Bani Matar region, this coffee reflects centuries of cultivation, careful selection, and regional tradition.
Origin: Bani Matar, Yemen
• Elevation: 2,000+ meters
• Mineral-rich terraced soils
• Structurally complex cup
• Traditional smallholder farming
Sun-Dried (Natural Process)
Yemeni coffees are traditionally sun-dried, allowing the fruit to mature fully before careful drying. This process preserves depth and natural sweetness, contributing to the distinctive structure associated with classic Matari coffees.
Roasted to Honor Origin
Roasted at a medium City+ profile to enhance sweetness while preserving structure and regional character. The approach respects origin rather than imposing roast intensity.
Birthplace of Coffee
Yemen is recognized as the historical birthplace of coffee culture. For generations, farmers have preserved traditional cultivation and drying methods. Yemen Matari stands as a living expression of this heritage — crafted, not engineered.
